SPIN Ideas undertook the task to map out the Micro & SMEs to better understand the ecosystem in order to build connections and help strengthen business between Micro and Small and Medium Enterprises.
During BASE 2022, we are kicking off the mapping and start building the connections.
Our why
Because our society celebrates unicorns – magical animals that don’t exist – instead of focusing on the real engine of our society: the small and medium enterprises that have been around for a long time, contributing financially and socially to the economy.
In 2020, SMEs accounted for 63% of the added value and 71% of employment in the business economy. The share of the SME sector in the total turnover is also high, making Micro and SMEs a vital factor in economic growth.
